Retail Technologies, Inc. (RTI) is seeking a new team member that is looking to build a career in an unique niche of the retail industry! We are hiring for a Press Room Assistant that is detail-oriented and eager to learn.

At Retail Technologies, Inc., we produce sheeted signs and labels in-house that run through a customer’s laser printers. We also produce sign & label printing software that is sold to the retail industry, along with all sorts of consumables that support sign & label printing and placement in the store.

Job Description

We want this individual to succeed in their career at RTI! To do that, we believe that they must be familiar with the basics of our company and what we do within the retail industry.

First, this position will begin in packaging.  Once they are familiar and comfortable with that field, the individual will learn additional skills like cleaning up ink stations, mounting plates, splicing new rolls of media on press, setting up jobs to run and others.

Eventually, the candidate will have the skills to run a print job from start to finish.  

The ideal candidate for a Press Room Assistant should…

  • be detailed-oriented
  • have the ability to stand for 8-10 hrs
  • have the ability to lift at least 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • have the ability to follow detailed instructions 
  • have the ability to complete tasks in an orderly and timely fashion
  • have the ability to work well with others in a fast-paced production setting
  • have the ability to read a ruler
  • possess basic math skills
  • have the willingness to do basic shop “house cleaning” and other various tasks as needed
  • a mechanical aptitude is a plus but not mandatory

Paid Time Off

Year 1 will earn 0.5 days of PTO per month

Year 2 will earn 1 day of PTO per month

Years 3+ will earn 1.5 days of PTO per month

*If hired as a temp-to-hire, we backcount to the day you started with us via the temp agency once you are hired on directly.

 7 Holidays Off – Company Paid!

  • New Year’s Day – January 1st
  • Mardi Gras Day – varies based on when Easter falls
  • Memorial Day – the last Monday in May
  • Independence Day – July 4th
  • Labor Day – the first Monday in September
  • Thanksgiving Day – 4th Thursday in November
  • Christmas Day – December 25th
  • Your Birthday Off – Company Paid

RTI will provide health insurance to cover the employee. All employee insurance policies should begin on the 1st day of the month following the employee’s hire/rehire date. (Ex. Hire date = 3/7/2022; Insurance start date = 4/1/2022)

RTI will cover the employee’s insurance premium for the items below. Employees may add spouses/family to the insurance plan; however, the employee is responsible for additional premiums.

  • TransAmerica – gap insurance
